having trouble with toe-side transition, kite fly's across window to fast and has no power to complete turn, with my old 17m zepher i have no trouble at all ,nail it every time, i have tried changing wing tip settings from out on the end to all the way up with the same results, tried sending kite sooner and later. 170 lbs, 144 board, riding powered up or light wind on a big door litewave 161, its the same, other than that kite is great. this is my 1st full season kiting, dang this sport is addictive

Sounds like you're on the right track, it's the speed of the kite through the transition that's mucking up your timing. Any of these should work:
- tighter arc on the transition
- waiting until initiating the turn before moving the kite
- raising the kite higher so it goes through the window slower (with more speed control)
- downlooping to give more power & speed at the start of the transition.

Of all the methods, downlooping is the most risky (especially if you haven't done them before). You probably know that, just making sure. The good thing about downlooping is that it takes your brain out of the automatic transition timing you are used to , and develops another timing for the new trick with the new kite.

I'd definitely start 11 or HIGHER and fishpole that bar to get the kite turned asap and keep it as high in the sky as possible. Once it's turned, follow the kite through the transition. Lots of demos around youtube etc. Make note that you're generally starting to point the board downwind before starting the downloop.
