Hi all. Any thoughts regarding my next purchase.(keen to buy now).
I've been kiting for about a year now and I'm totally hooked..in that time I was lucky enough to have 3 months off so got alot of kiting under the belt....riding TT and strapless surfboard.
Currently have North Evos 2013 14m. 2012 11m. 2010 9m. (also destroyed a 12m Rebel in the surf..) and was looking at adding a smaller kite.
I was thinking with the wind range I can get out of my 9, that the 7 maybe a little close, and by having a 5 or 6 I'm covered for those rare nuking days
A couple of mates think the 5 and 6 maybe to twitchy
Also I had in the back of my mind that the 5 or 6 maybe ok for the kids when the time comes
I was 90 kg when I started, down to 81kg now(a great side effect to kiting)
Thanks for your input

I'd reckon 7m mate. If you need anything smaller, I reckon it would be toooooo gusty to be safe to go out. That's just me. I'm about your new-ness.

I've been kiting for a bit over a year, and across summer my 2012 Rebel 7m would be my most heavily used kite. Love it, so quick and a big wind range. With my surfboard, I use it from a bit under 20 through to 30knots plus. I'm 81k's. A 5 would be handy for 30-40 knot winds (like coming up the next few days in Perth), but I think you will be surpised how much use you get out of the 7.

I have used a 7m Crossbow in winds up to 45 knots and its fine for that. I weigh 85kg. Your small kite should have very good depower characteristics.

Looks like I'm now on the look out for a 7m Evo. Thank you for the feedback.
