i have a 12m naish boxer as my main kite but looking at a smaller high wind option, at 90 kgs would a 9m cab convert be worth considering

What do you mean by high winds? Although the Convert is described as an allrounder/freestyle, I've mainly seen them used by wave riders, unlike your Boxer. 9m sounds right for your weight though, if you're talking about 18-25knts.
