OK... So I'm improving and want to take advantage of light wind days... And end of season bargains...? Receiving conflicting opinions from retailers, based on the stock they have available... Please help me navigate decision making... First time in living memory, my wife doesn't have an opinion!!!

Currently:
2013 Ozone Cat 10
2013 Switchblade 7
65kg
Freeride with a TT, just acquired a Nobile NHP 131, keeping Axis Inferno 139

Acquired the used SB very cheaply, and was seduced by the positive fee, quick turn and enjoyed the light bar pressure. Great build quality... Nothing I don't like about it, except the regular price!!

Always liked the stability and predictability of the 2013 Catalyst. Disliked the comparative slowness and having to 'work it' in lighter winds. As the wind picks up, it's nimble and positive for me.. Paid $1000 as a guy bought the wrong size...

Wife has a 2012 SB 9m, but I seem to prefer the Catalyst in stronger winds...

Both upwind well, the Catalyst slightly better in my novice opinion.
I prefer buying ex demo or 'good' used kites... Price is a factor. Prefer eventually single brand for bar interchangeability and happy with 2013...

Considering:
2012/3 Catalyst 14
2012/3 Switchblade/Siren 12

Advised:
Vector 12....? Turns more quickly, cheaper, cut down version of SB, therefore lighter etc
Get line extensions
Told larger SBs are sluggish as lighter wind kites

Opinions and guidance welcomed from more experienced to help the decision...

The larger Switchblades are more kites for big guys rather than light wind kites. Avoid the 2013 SB as a light wind kite as it has a poor bottom end. 2012 12m would be a possibility if you can find one in good nick. Its got lots of power. Vectors are nice easy kites, and would do OK in 2012 or 2013, but think about the 14 m as they are not a grunty kite.

If you could stretch, I'd consider a specific light wind kite. The 15m Contra is fabulous.

Cant comment on the Catalyst.
