Hi guys,
So I started out kitesurfing in October. Got all my gear and I am a heavy dude so need a bit of wind to get going.
Where the hell is the wind in NSW specifically Sydney? I have been checking seabreeze for the last 4 weeks and apart from a few days with 15 knts we had nothing. I am also trying to follow the guidelines of nsw kba on the wind direction and the spots I can kite. And there is absolutely nothing coming this way.
So.....
Am I doing this wrong?:)

Yes, that's Cabin fever you have. Wait for a consistent 20 knots suitable for your location(s). If in doubt check with local kiters.

Yeah and make sure you're prepared to suffer later on from KOD (Kite Obsession Disorder).
It will happen.

If you kite North of Sydney harbour you need at least a 15 meter kite if your over 80kg.
Otherwise there is a lot of watching from the beach.

Sunday in Sydney is looking good, I'm 100kgs and will get out on Botany bay in anything over 18knots with a 12m, otherwise I have a 17m.
Had a good little session Wed night on the 12m...the wind will come hang in there!

Hey guys. Yeah will head out on sunday afternoon.
Btw I am 115kg and got 14meter blade trigger. With 145 board.
Thats fot the support, because i thought I was missing an ingredient. People keep saying that sydney gets consistent seabreezes in summer but so far I have not seen anything spectacular.
Is this right?

Maybe you need to get a 17 or 19m kite if the wind is really that crap. Or move to Western Australia where we get heaps of wind all summer. I'm not sure I could maintain an interest in kiting if it was that long between drinks. I admire your devotion!

Well sunday did not work out. Forecast 20knts, but actually 10 knts.
Got some sun rays into me though.
Read a few forum poata and it looks like this year been a downer so far. Any feedback on how it has been in the past?

Should be good Noreasters this week Watermate , both Seabreeze and Meteye have forecast it which is a good sign . Stick to Kurnell and Brighton heaps more wind there than Northern beaches . Tuesday should be the best , hope it turns it on for ya.

I looked at the Kurnell wind graph yesterday and it did not look like there was anything.

Great session yesterday at Brighton.
Tried to practice all the skills that I learned from lessons. Bodydragging and bodydragging with the board. If the weather assists will try to do water starts today.
It looks like complaining about the weather actually brings the weather:)
