OK, got a TT been out twice after my lessons by my stupid feet are just not playing ball, really hard to get them into the straps and once there, keep them there until I can launch the kite.

Put some heel straps that I made on but they weren't rigid enough so were more trouble than they were worth.

I have now had multiple suggestions to try a strapless surfboard as it will help my feet positioning in pre-launch and assist in holding an edge.

This is the reason I am struggling, sorry not going to explain again!!

So if anyone has an old crappy surfboard they want to lend, sell or give that would be greatly appreciated!! I have Monday and Tuesday off so would like to have a go then if possible!!

Have looked on buy and sell and in Gumtree but all $200+ and I don't want to spend that for an experiment!!

Many thanks

I think you just need to try a more variation of boards, in my lessons I could get up easy on theirs, on mine couldn't get my feet in when the straps were tight enough to hold them in then when i loosened them I couldn't keep them in, quite frustrating but then when I used a mates board today I had no problems so I would suggest go and demo a range of boards and see how you go.... But I'm a newb so my advice could be way off but that's what I would do:)

Thanks Chelle but I have tried 4-5 different strap/pad setups (admittadly most on dry land) but while some of thm seem better, my feet are just not working!!

Try getting into your straps without ever lifting your feet and toes above about 110deg to your shins!!! Although I do have the flex to get upto about 90deg, I don't have the muscles in the right places to force them up.

After watching and reading alot about strapless I think it's definately worth a shot.

Hi Rumblefish,

We are giving away a surfboard as part of the Pay-it-forward thread. Drop into the shop and it's yours. It will suit what you are talking about perfectly.

Cheers,

DM

Hey Darren,

Will take that if that's OK.

Up that way today and will call the shop just in case you decide to drop by today, otherwise I'll be there tomorrow first thing.

Many thanks
