Does anyone have a spare set they can lend me........ I don't seem to have enough to throw the head and rotate when boooosting big.

I have them sorted with small to medium sent jumps, but when i intentionally jump big and go to rotate i fall apart.

Any tips, or should i put a pair on layby???

It's all in ya mind.....just keep thinking ur only a couple of metres off the water and don't look down till ya ready to spot the landing.

Throw in a downloop if ur coming down too hot....

Are u rotating on ur transitions? If so, just keep getting a bit higher on those each time......good practice

One thing that helped me to finish the rotation and to face down wind for landing, is too lift your knees up and catch the wind with your board facing you down wind

Just keep your kite at 12 until you spot your landing.
That way if you don't spot your landing you will land with 0 speed and just sink in. Worst case scenario is that the kite might not drift back fast enough when you land and fall out of the sky.

Kite control is key. That's why the sport is called kiteboarding, not boardboarding

It's a LOT easier to go big and just spin as much as possible, and concentrate on flying the kite as you normally would; if you focus on the bar, and forget about which way you're facing until you need to spit the landing, it's a cinch. And you'll find that as you redirect the kite, it'll pull you around to face the landing.

Front rolls I find easier to go big and multiple. A single rotation for a back roll is basicaaly boost to facing upwind, hang around looking at the view then redirect and whip the body around to land.

The worst thing that has happened is redirecting too soon and facing backward as you slam into the water. As F-cab said, keep the kite at 12 til you've got a feel for it...

Oh, key point - make sure you rotate around the long head-toe axis cleanly. You'll spin easier and in the beginning, it's easier to control...

Balls are the only thinks holding us back from doing all sorts of stuff. This is what makes us all different riders, the bigger the balls the more impressive trick we do. Confidence in you gear is also key. If your on a kite you don't have 100% confidence in it may hold you back from progressing.

Big balls = awesome tricks = blown out shoulders and knees, and busted ribs!

Yeah im with you. A couple of over zealous grabs of the bar on boost jump front rolls has seen me accidentally loop the kite mid air and nail myself.

Im trying to gradually build height and control / confidence. Its still not muscle memory for me yet so i run the risk of over thinking it...

What is also slowing me down is having to adjust to different wind strengths and kite sizes as this has a big effect on dialing in bar control and timing (at least for me anyway)...
