Im looking at *maybe* buying a 5m Ozone Octane. I currently have a 3-line bar 'kite trainer' foil, but are kites with handles (4-line, 2 handles) be better for land boarding?
What are the pros and cons of the bar and harness or handles and no harness? especially with a 5m kite in about 10-15 knts.

Wrong forum, but that's ok.

Handles are a slightly different deal... they're used on fixed bridle foils and so you don't have any depower, but can stall the kite with the brakes. IMO you get a little more control over the kite (especially when it's on the ground) but you give up ease of use - either you hang on to the handles and tire your arms and hands out, or you use a back-strap and risk a superman, or a harness and strop and are pretty much hooked in for good.

If you're planning on going to the water, stick with the bar. Get an Ozone Turbo bar and use a kitesurfing harness and leash on the Octane.
