Hi,

The other week at woodies I decided that I would give unhooking a go. I can do back and forward rolls and boost pretty big thought I would step it up a little. I have last years quad bar. I have done a little bit of research on setting up the chicken loop and where i should put the leach....The leech that came with the bar and lines doesn't hook onto the chicken loop as the hook is to small. This forcing me to ride with the leech connected to the flag out line??

Have a look at Suicide mode. Basically you open the safety, thread the big ring over the chicken loop, and then put your safety back together. You'll end up with the end of your flag out line hooked to the chicken loop. You then put your leash onto the little ring on the safety line. When you ping your safety you'll still have full flag out, and when you unhook and let go it'll be on suicide. Best of both worlds.

Hope that helps.

As per WA's Surf.

Note you will also have a 'stopper' on the centre lines to stop the bar depowering too much/sheeting out too much.. Might be worth checking that's pushed all the way up so you get full depower if/when you unhook and lose the bar.

Make sure you have plenty of room down wind when unhooking as it will take longer for the kite to depower in suicide mode when you drop the bar...

Good luck.
