Hey all,

I am looking for info on bar size/length when riding different size kites. I recently bought a second hand 7m Bandit dos which came with a 45cm bar. The 9m core gt i bought came with a 55cm bar.

Why is this so?? Is it a preference??

Some kites need more 'cranking' to get them turning at a decent speed.
Generally, if a kite comes with a huge bar then it's not designed to turn quickly so they're compensating by using a longer bar.

The core GT bar, is a one size fits all bar. You can change where the leader lines attach to the actual bar, reducing the size. Core recommend having it set on the inner attachment (making it 42 cm in length) for smaller than a 10 M, and on the outer attachment (making it 54 cm in length) for 10 M and upwards. Just means you can use the same bar for every size kite in your quiver.
