Beginner kite size melbourne

Hi

Im new to kite boarding / kite surfing, had a few lessons back in South africa, I am now moving to Melbourne and would like to know what the best kite sizes, brands also would like to purchase trainer kite, any suggestions?

in Melbourne you can get a 11m or 12m out most days. That's my experience of it anyway. But that's also depending on your weight... it quite rarely gets over 30knots, and very often arround 15-18k so look at the specs of your kite of choice before you purchase and ensure it works around the 15-25knots rang for your weight
Brand, up to you.
Training kite, waist of money (it's not that cheap, $150 min). Get a real 2nd hand one that you can train on. I have a 2012 Cabrinha kite for sale with bar for $350 and I'm in melbourne. if interested, PM me but you'll be able to do your first season and learn on this no problem.
