Hi,
I'm a pretty big fella 6'3 and 110kg and need some advice on a second kite for Perth conditions. I am just starting to get upwind and have got water starts etc down pat now. I've got a 13m ozone edge and a 137 crazy fly board but want to get another kite so I can take advantage of a wider wind range.
Any recommendations on what size would be suitable as a second kite? Also should I stay with the same design of kite or get something different?
Appreciate the help.

What's your range of wind on your current kite? I assume you are looking at another kite to go out in stronger winds? The Edge isn't the most beginner friendly kite but if you like it then why not get a 9m or 10m of the same kite and then push up to 30 knots with you body weight. Plus you can keep the same bar for both kites and save money.

If I were you I'd get a 10m ozone c4. Not the most beginner friendly but you'll get used to it in no time and really appreciate it when you get into freestyle a little way down the road. Same bar too so you can save some pennies.

Thanks for the advice. I think my max wind range would be low 20s but as I'm still learning I'm not a great judge on wind strength.

yo chook if you like the flying of the edge then just step down a size , at your weight and with wa winds you need to, im 90kgs and have the 7,9,11,17zephyr, the c4 and catalyst are a completly different flying kite, and swapping styles will only hinder unless thats what you want to do, im a lover of the ozones, but the edge is a super smooth flying kite with plenty of power on tap for your weight with the mid sizes being more dynamic, demo before you buy.
