Could someone please have a crack at explaining how to release the board efficiently after loading it up? This is for a pop or a jump (or is the release technique for these maybe even different?)
Some people say they stomp on it with the rear foot and pull up the front foot, etc., but I feel I can improve in this area and am keen to hear opinions/explanations.

thanks!

Try to slice the board out of the water rather then just lifting it square out of the water. A quick slice up wind helps to release a sticky boards out of the water. Some boards are worse at sticking then others.

It sounds like you are not loading up the board at all.
The hard part should be holding the board on the water while you edge to load up.
Try to hold the edge as long as you can.

Or your board is too flat. Boards with more rocker tend to "pop out" of the water better.
