Besides going to a school, any suggestions regarding boarding practice?

I can do basic surfing on a long board; and have spent a week snowboarding.... but wondering if I should take up surfing or something else to get more board time while I wait for the opportunity to attend a school?

Any suggestions?

I was wondering if those wave generators at amusement parks might be helpful?

On the kite side of things I bought a training kite and practised launching, landing and flying... so I feel next best step is going to a school.

It's a good idea to get your boarding skills up, it will help a lot once you get decent kite control on an inflatable Kite.

As an experienced instructor I always found it quite challenging to teach students coming from a trainer kite background to adapt to flying a ''depowerable'' inflatable kite.

This video will give you a brief summary of the adaptations you will have to make.



It's a good attitude to try to prepare yourself as best you can for the lessons.Quality video tutorials will speed up your progression the most at the early stages.
