On my 07 slingshot bar for a T2, the oh **** ring is above the bar(dam). From factory only 1 front line attaches to this ring and the other line on the fixed ring. Any reason why they both can't be on the oh **** ring?
The reason I ask is that I tried a Cab IDS 08 bar on my T2 and I loved the flagging of the kite while still holding the 2 front lines when you want to land. Apart from that it didn't suit, as my slingy bar has pulleys at the bar ends which gave this kite much more sheeting in and much more sheeting out. also the slingy bar had about twice the depower trim on the rope. That said, the IDS push release is an easy way to end seasons. Wind was light but enough for my test, with IDS bar button released, T2 fell cleanly to side of window and sat on sand waiting for me to walk up front lines and rest it. Does that happen even in stronger winds with this 2 front line safety system. What other brands use this system as I seriously need to update when I stop spending money on other sports. Hope I sort of made sense.

Pulleys on your bar give you faster turning not more or less sheeting of the kite .I have a 07 slingshot t2 which i don't have the bar for so i use a cab 07 2in1 pulley bar works sweet .Why flag the kite on two lines when it works just the same on one .

when i tested the cab IDS I found I could not achieve full depower so I thought I would have to lengthen rear lines, so I pulled the pulled the depower trim all the way in but still not 100% depower. If I add more rear line I won't get full power then but lose max power as the line would no longer be same length. When I sat both bars on grass and compared them, the cab had a lot less depower and a lot less depower trim than the slingy, for equal 4 lines on full power. I don't know that much about the tech side of things, its just what I saw on land and felt on water. I assume it was because of the pulleys making it a 2:1 ratio. Others probably can explain it better to me.
As for the 2 line flagging, 1 works but you need to know which front line is fixed to predictably land it, and it is a messy land, where as both front lines seemed very predictable and controllable. My question still is, is it safe to attach both front lines to the slingshot oh **** ring for that predictable flagging.

There is no such thing as 100% full depower . Sorry i cant answer your question i have never used a slingshot bar before . the only reason you should be flagging the kite is if your in trouble and need to QR or if your self landing and you cant get the kite to land you can flag it .
