I'm keen to get serious but need a buddy to share the learning experience. Safety Bay seems to be the optimal location for keeping out of the experienced guy's hair, and for appropriate level specific conditions. If you are in the same boat, ie, have your equipment, wheels and so on, PM me and let's discuss the possibilities of aligning times, etc
hehe this is where all the freaks and geeks hang out anyway buster, best meeting people down on the beach :) during winter the pond is fairly quiet and there will be alot of sitting around waiting for wind for you to strike up a partnership!
imho best to learn in the offseason, get all that lawn mowing done and dusted and by the time your first season swings on you'll be cranking. worked for me, started last july!
Mate you could go to any beach on a good day, and about 70% of the kitesurfers out, would be in the same position as you. Ask some of the locals if there is anything you need to know about a location and get out and have some fun
hey, I've literally just brought my gear, waiting for my board which ill pick up Sat n then ill be keen as. I'm further south than Perth, so safety bay is best for me but happy to make a trip to Perth now n again too. plus my mate at the same the stage is in Perth n looking for the same. send me your number if you're still keen (:
Sunday avo safety bay? I might be there.. Pm me if ur interested. I can go upwind and all but always keen to meet new people and share experiences. Don't bother to much abut nobs... He seems to have something against new people and goes on the newbies forum just to piss them off.. Doesn't remember that he used to be just as new to the sport once.
only just picking up my board this morning from the shop so if I make it back Will Defo head safety bay, the wind is cool today! thanks neptune. daunting enough as it is been a newbie! (: thanks for the offer and advice (:
