Front screw right foot forward will not stop slipping have tried a few things, to list them off -

a) Changing the screws around, didnt work okay must be the plug then
b) Widened my stance therefore using different holes (still slipping)
c) used a washer in a few different spots to try and get more contact just incase it wasn't bolting down enough.

All of this to no evail!! And the worst bit is its actually causing injuries i.e. twisting my ankle on bad landings... these two basic diagrams show how the board is (a) meant to be and (b) ends up after a small time

a)

direction of travel <<<<--- ( \ / )

b)

direction of travel <<<<--- ( | / )

Basically my leading foot on a starboard tack ends up straight.

Any suggestions minus changing bindings (I really like these!!)

Cheers,

Josh

that was happening to me but a washer fixed it, maybe try different sized washers?

cheers for that bro, yeah might just put a couple on, and maybe on the middle layer instead of between the board/binding. Ian from SurfFX recommended this approach as well.

Are you using it on a Custom/Cab board?? I think my issue is inherit of sticking them on a non-cab board.

Those plastic brackets are crap, would be better off with four holes rather than a slot then they wouldn't slip or pull screws.

They are still the most comfortable straps ive used though.

I had to use washers also as the screws supplies where the wrong tread just used the old screws and washers to space out to supplied screw length worked a treat Put the washers under the screw head and make sure you use stainless ones. I think they are great bindings to good luck with it.

^^^ The Doctor's judgement is a mysterious affair. Enjoy the ride when he's in good form, but on the flipside never give him the pleasure of being too offended by his posts.

YES. 4 holes would solve many problems and the only downside is you'd have to take the screw out fully to change angles. I'd be happy to pay that price for a stronger connection. How often do you adjust the angle anyway once you've worked out what you like?

The messed up thing is that I imagine the doctor, whom I've never met, to actually look like his avatar.

They are begging for a better board to plate connection, lets hope this year the designers have given that are a bit more scrutiny?

In the meantime, any Cab dealer cab supply you with new plastic brackets for free, and if they can't send me a self addressed post pack and I'll send you a set of brackets.

I had this issue a couple of seasons ago but discovered it was someone in the shop re-adjusting my syncs in between each ride. They got given some special cinnamon donuts now I don't have the issue anymore!

Possibly your brackets are worn (the recessed steps for the screw head) allowing movement under landing loads. Best option is to replace, or grind 1 thread off the screws so they tighten down more.

Yes drop down and see Jon or Rhys they will be able to sort out the issue. Take your board with you.
I have not had anyone come to us with this problem, so I'm thinking there is a good reason in your case, possibly screws too long, or the screws are being tightened incorrectly.
I ride a custom and caliber and these 2 boards get used by my instructors a lot too, even students, with no issues.
