Hello I've just had a few trys at riding my first twin tip. The straps are as loose as they go and my feet still won't go on with out pushing from the other side of the board. This makes it impossible to get into the straps if im in the water. If there any way I could fix this?

btw the board is a 2004 Martin Model 132

What model are the straps?
What size foot are you?
Can you post a photo?

I found it was hard putting straps on at first, you get better.
Now I just ride boots

I'm a size 9 and the straps have to be unscrewed to adjust them. They are just the rrd straps that came with the board I'm pretty sure.

Sorry I have never seen RRD straps, maybe take them to the place you got lessons?
You should fit fine with is 9 feet, unless they are for kids.

Nah they're for adults but I can't push my feet in far enough without using my hands. What should I do?

Get rid of the straps. Ride it like a directional. Why not? More fun too!

Take it to a kitesurf shop and get some bigger straps fitted.

The screws are a fixed distance apart, but sometimes there is a slot in the mounting bracket for the end of the strap. Check to see if there is any movement possible.

This is the board?

Yeah that's he board. I've put the screws onto the middle ones which makes the straps taller and it hasn't really helped.

Mate. if it's that difficult to get your feet in then persisting wit this set up is just going to be too hard. At this stage of learning you don't want something as fundamental as this holding you back.

Might be re-stating what's already been said here, but it seems unusual that you can't get a size 9 foot in. I wonder if there's some hidden adjustment that you're missing, so, first thing I'd do is get someone (really) experienced to have a look at it for you - maybe your instructor, or someone at the beach that looks like they know their sh1t. People are generally happy to help. If that doesn't fix it then, as suggested above, go to your local shop - you might be surprised the cost might not be all that great.

I have size 12 feet and wear booties. I have never found a set of straps I can't get my feet into. Sure you haven't got kiddie straps or just have not adjusted them properly?

To be honest, a 2004 board isn't much different to a 2015 board, sure they look slick, might be lighter and more durable, but for what jukesy will be doing, there won't be much difference unless it has hectic rocker.

The general design change between now and then is a wider shorter board with tapered tips and possibly better optimised rocker. The end result a board that's smoother to ride and easier to ride upwind................

You can change the straps on that board
Undo the screws once you get the straps off
You will see three different settings on each end
Of the straps under the plastic washer thing .
I have this board in the back of my garage and
Have adjusted them before .

does the strap not have velcro adjustment?
try pealing the white vinyl cover back and see if their is velcro underneath
if so their is probabally another velcro strap in the opposing direction underneath that.
loosen them both, put foot in and re-attach the velcro.

My Airush Switch straps were too tight to start with despite being set on maximum width. I got the straps wet and pushed forcibly my steel toe work boots into straps. Let them sit there for a day or two, get them wet again and push the boots deeper, then they were fine.
