So I've been out a little and can now confidently self launch and land, my problem is one of my favorite spots has a tiny little beach (~3m wide) and then beyond that you have hungry-looking pine tree's! So i'm a little concerned of self launching especially if something goes wrong, hence i'd like to attempt a drift launch. So i ask the masses how does one go about doing this?

Drift launching can get kinda sketchy for a beginner.. your best bet is to drag the kite into the water and do a water launch.. or you can tie your chicken loop off to a tree and walk the kite out into the water and let it stand on its wing tip. come back hook in and launch..

Drift launching is sketchy for anyone!

If there isn't enough room to launch / land then it's probably not going to be a safe, place to kite
