Hello All, I going to look at a 2011 F-One Bandit 4 with new bar and lines that looks in good condition. Would this be Ok for a beginner? I have had some lessons and plan on doing more, I am up on the board and going forward. I am keen to get some gear to keep practicing on in between lessons.

the kites fine at the correct wind range, the bar however has always had corrosion issues, if the pvc sleeve over the aluminium looks distorted or looks like a blister is appearing underneath keep clear of the bar, the safety although not perfect is fine, just get associated with it, nice kites the bandits a real do it all kite that youll progress with

I can't recommend F-One kites highly enough, I love them. I believe the B4 will aid your progression nicely. If by new bar and lines you mean the new Monolith Bar that came out with the B6 and B7, then you will have no issues with it in relation to corrosion, but I hate to say it, the Airlite Bar that came out with the B4 is crap and wont outlast the kite.

^^^ have to agree with that !! Here's the bar from a B4 kite that was sold to me ( yes sight unseen - so buyer beware!!) very recently.
One look at the bar told me is was a chuck-away - swollen and blistered so Ive peeled off the padding and this is all that remained below - so yes be very careful of the B4 bar - but the kites are great and the right price to get into the sport!!

On the up side, I have had both 52cm and 45cm Monolith bars that came with my B6's for 20 months and they both look brand new. So F One have finally shaken off their bar issues.
