Hi All,

Before you jump on my back, I have used the search function and have read all the threads related to this, however as I am a relative newbie I would like to know which is a better location for a winter holiday.

Any advice re which is the better location for a beginner would be great.

thanks

Sorry, haven't been to either but would favour Cook Islands if I had to choose as things seem to be very much "on your doorstep" once you're there from what I've read. You would be more likely to get better feedback if this was posted in the general forums. Fiji would be a cheaper option from QLD though.

Hi ive been to FIJI several times and im going in July again great kiting for all levels but especially if your not so confident [ self sufficient ] .Cook islands and probably Cocos look great ,probably going Cocos next year, but Fiji is set up for kitting if you go to the right places.
Hope this helps

Thanks George. I made my decison on the weekend that I am going to commit and go to Fiji. As I am a beginner the downwinders will give me the ability to have km's to practice.

Cooks or Cocos will be next year for me....however that is a long way away.

Enjoy your hols...
