I thought I should have and introduction post at the very least before I start other posts/topics.
Recently moved to Canberra from the UK (Yes for work, and no I did not have a choice)
but I'm not complaining. The life style for a young family is awesome and the mountain biking is just as good.
I spent many years kiting (kite surfing and kite mountain boarding) in the UK. Lived only minutes from the beach so was always able to take advantage when the wind was good.
I have
- a litewave twinfin 137s
- a well used mountain board
- a 11m Best Waroo (still in awesome condition - after a leading edge repair)
- a 13m Peter Lynn Venom (for land and something different for the water)
- a 16m Best Waroo (my low wind beast)
- A mystic warrior harness
- and all the usual trimmings
I'm looking to spend more time at the beaches over the summer with the family in tow and would enjoy meeting up with like minded folk.
Batemans Bay (Long Beach) is probably my closest beach and from what I've seen so far in my travels I want to explore more of the coast line, north and south of here. I have also been to Merimbula (nice beach) and watched some of last years Corona comp.
