Just wondering if anyone has any advice for kite placement or approach when surfing right handers in a Perth SW seabreeze (i have a natural stance).

One thing that i struggle with (and many other people it seems) is actually surfing on the face of the wave and being able to hit the lip, rather than just flying along in front of the wave when going right in perth slop. I cant seem to point high enough riding toeside.

Do i just need to point higher on my toeside tack, or is there some other method to getting this right?

Thanks

Im a goofy footer, thank god, but can ride in waves switch. Switch will help, but the main issue is you cant bottom turn hard to give it a proper surfing wack due to the angle of the wind. Us goofies have the same problem when the swell is cranking in a NWer in winter.

The key is to ride higher on the wave face, and then do your turns hard whilst going down wind when a section presents itself, you can still throw buckets. Learning airals riding upwind is also a lot easier, especially on a strapless surfboard, as the board due to the wind angle will stick to your feet. If your only on a twin-tip, sorry its just cruising for you. You need more volume to keep the speed and go upwind, especially when depowering a lot to get the right angle of the kite Vs the Wave.
