[br]Hi all,
What spots around Botany Bay and The Shire work ok in winter winds (S,SW,SE,W)?
And, out of those spots, which ones are best for beginners and what hazards should I be aware of in these winds?
I did notice that the southerly blowing the last few days has been very gusty and inconsistent. Do people still get out in that?
Also, Im prob way off here... but... I was thinking today, would Darook park in Cronulla work in a SW? I know the southerly rips thru Gunnamatta, but would the SW be to messy because of the headlands around the area?
Thanks
I've been looking for someone to kite off Darook with me.. Tried it once last year. It does work in SW But it's not great and is messy from the shadows of Bundeena.. In SE it would be an hard place launch/Land but is probably doable if your confident enough...
Watch for string rays in the water..
This weekend could be good to try but I'm not around.. Worse that could happen is you get blown down the bay for a post kite beer drink at the sailing club
