Is it possible to change the design of an older bar system to improve the safety?
For example, I have a 2006 Slingshot Turbo Diesel system that has the yellow stopper ball that allows you to de-power to 85% or better but preventing the kite inverting. It's a 4 line BOW kite. If you attach the leash to the centre ring (as intended design states) it looks cluttered and seems like it could be easily twisted and jam not allowing de-power. A friend has suggested I try to rig a below the bar system but I'm not sure what to do. Anyone modified anything similar?

Ive done this pleanty of times but each time its slightly different and then there's cheapest and neatest, but basically cheapest way first run an extra line half way up to the kite on one of the centre lines, fit an attachment point, fit it through bar and through chicken loop, it depends on which bar youve got. The main thing is when you release the kite it needs to fully flag, not just kite loop so be carefull and test it in light wind in water. Neatest go get the slingshot centre line saftey system fitted.Hope this helps otherwise pm me and ill talk you through it.
Have fun
