I'm a windsurfer, but right now have the temptation to give kite a go. Is there anywhere in perth that can offer a first lesson TODAY?

I agree. I've seen the look of local windsurfers passing us kiters and you can tell they wished they could load and pop with that massive board and sail.

Try Anaconda, they have cheep kites, their foil kites are ****e but their frame kites may be better. Or they used to have cheep kites at the Freo market. You don't need to spend much on a trainer kite, its only a trainer.
Plenty of kite schools around Perth, not to busy this time of year so you may get in today. i'd Start with AKS and work through the phone book. Also worth getting is the beginners progression DVD, you can also get it from the I store as an app.
