Hi Guys,
looking at grabbing a second hand Kite to learn on and i have come across a 2013 slingshot Fuel, all the reviews of the kite look awesome but it is classed as a more advanced kite so not sure it i should go with it or not?

appreciate any advice!

Much easier kites to learn on today if given the choice, the fuel is more int to advanced kite, it would be possible but the are better options, all brands do a good starter kite

No!

Unless you want to make learning as difficult as possible. I had a customer buy three Fuels after he had finished his lessons because he was able to buy a three Fuel quiver for the price of a single new beginner kite I wanted him to buy. He spent two painful weeks on the beach failing everyday and finally lost his sh1t. I offered him a go on the kite I originally offered and whaddayaknow, he got up and rode for the first time.

There is a reason Fuels are as cheap as .... They are no good for anyone other than high end users. Put your money into something more suitable.

The Fuel is a sic kite! However it really is for only advanced riders and works best in near perfect conditions.

You would be much better off getting something like an RPM. Which will be far easier to learn on and still be a great kite that will progress with you into the advanced stages.

my first go with this kind of kite ( C- Kite) when I was a beginner (2 months after lesson)... Hated it coz I cant sheet out the gust and it will just pull you,
Plus some of them have a heavy bar pressure and by the time your done kiting, your arm and elbow hurts.
Didn't like them till I started attempting S-bends and shifty 313. (after 2yrs of kiting)

I still like easy to use kite with a bit of C into it as I'm not a hardcore freestyler
