I did my first the other day back hand at 16 kn on an 2010 11meter swichey at 65 kgs . End result if you are going to do it , DO it don't back out half way through like I did .The kite might be the problem ( to slow on the turn speed) but I would say it was me . It was at the bottom of the turn starting to go up when I back out but it was all over with arms and legs going everywhere my son nearly wet himself laughing at me even half an hour late he was still going he had a first hand site seeing spot of it as he was not far from me . Any How glad for your stoke keep at it and after my episode I am thinking of an impack vest cause that s**t hurts .

Hey Sam, make sure u initiate the loop from 12 o'clock and crank that bar to 90o from straight and ur 11m switchy should turn on a dime without getting to deep into the window. I wouldn't worry too much about the impact vest mate cos once u get good at them you'll throw that thing back in the cupboard......and yes 110% commitment to the loop, DO NOT BACK OUT till the kite is back in a comfortable position or back to the zenith.

Have fun and hold on for the ride

Back hand kite loop so send it then loop it the same way you sent it once I've got some air beneath me :)

Big kites are good to learn looping in light winds, though once you start doing them they will only make things harder i think.
If your looking to get into looping, start on say a 10/12m kite and practice down looping at the end of your jumps, so when you normally re-send your kite down loop with your front hand and the speed will generally soften your landing. (AS LONG AS THERE'S NO CHOP)
Once you have gotten the hang of that and used to the power surge, start doing small jumps with loops (back hand loop), and loop before the peak of your jump, looping after this makes it tricky, though you get less height it tends to drop you making it hard to land smoothly.
