Hi,
I am looking at purchasing a Nemesis 2009 HP 12 metre as my first kite. I weigh 91kg and well built. I'd like to imagine that i would be a quick learner.
I'll admit i want to jump big (when im good enough) would the nemesis be a good kite?
Also, out of curiousity, what kite is considered the best (all rounder or for massive jumps) in the kitesurfing world today?

The only way to go "massive " is a small kite and lots of wind
The 12m will give you float and hang time, for height try an 8m in 30+knots and an 8ft swell as a ramp. Then you will go massive

Difficult to jump with your kite sitting on the water.
Yes this kite jumps well but as a beginner you will struggle to relaunch it.

though i've never flown that kite or seen one for that matter. big boosting kites are generally high aspect, create lots of power with aparent wind. they are alot harder to learn on that your lower aspect brothers. learn the ways on a more stable easy to relaunch kite and then move up to a big booster 6 months or so down the track once you have mastered being abel to jump redirect and land powered without sinking or crashing.
PS i learnt on an ozone edge. great boosting kite but alot harder to shut the power off, harder to relaunch. If i did it again i wouldn't learn on taht style of kite.

All the people I know who've had serious kiting accidents (and there are quite a few) have done them landing jumps. Learn good kite control first then work on your jumps.
