Hey guys,
I currently have a Core XR2 10Metre, living in Melbourne @ 75KG
Looking to buy additional kites, only buying second hand and its not easy to find another core kite that I want..size, model , damage.. location etc.. so was wondering if anyone can give any advice on something that might be similar.
in 7 Metre and 13 metre ?

XR2 is all-rounder so go for all-rounder's, Airrush lithium, F1 bandit5, swithblade and so on. Most kite brands have one in there list of specialised kite models. No two kites are exactly the same there will always be slight differences in the feel of them and the bar

hey lolmat
check out the line up from naish, north, cabrinha, liquid force
they make some good freeride, surf n freestyle kites. I hvnt been kiting that long n im in the process of building my quiver. so I cant give any reviews on the except a 12m vector which I have. I ve never ridden core so cant compare, but with the kite names above and the names in the other post you;ll find smthing to suit ur needs.
find a cpl brands n models u like n research the crap out of them n try n get a demo if u can

I reckon the Cabrinha Switchblade is a lot like the XR2, especially SB's since 2010

I found the XR2's pivot fairly tightly yet still deliver a bit of power in the turn.
Epic Regegades are similar to a degree but have a different outline & come in 13 and 7. There are plenty of 7's avail here when last I checked but for a 13 you'll have to contact Nigel at ECK.
Other than that, Envy, Lithium, Bandit, and Vector's all do well in the same game.
I tried a 6m 2013 switchie and it was plenty nimble with good power, however the pre 2010 ones I found a lot slower, good power but slow turns. Not really my style or similar to xr2 IMO
