Open C kites loop well also, I will be helping a few people learn kitelooping at botany in the next few weeks for a bit of fun when if there's wind and no kid minding, pm me if you want to hook up. The type of kite you have makes a difference, you can kite loop a 12m easy if you have a fast enough kite, but 10m and under is better. vid of me below kitelooping.
Line lengths are important, shorter lines for faster loops with less power, longer lines for more height and more power
( 17m lines to 27m lines can be used )
Some kites are very grunty without a lot of depower and will throw you in the loop, some kites are light and agile making looping easy / fast without much yanking down wind, and there is everything in between.
