So iv recently purchased a 9m 2008 best nemmisis and a 12m 2008 cabrinha crossbow off a mate. But the bar and lines for the cab never showed up in the post ( I'm still trying to track them down). In the meantime can anyone tell me if I can fly the cab with the best bar and lines. Or will I need to get new cab bar and lines if they don't show.

Thanks steele

should be fine...

I have mixed and matched kites and bars many times, just use common sense check your line lengths and be aware that one bar may not have as much throw as another..........

Cabs can be quite bar specific, not saying it wont work but i'd try it on a lightwind day,get a mate to help you ,you may have to put an extension line on either the inside or outside lines with evenly spaced knots so you can do a quick adjustment on the line lengths between the two kites.

the 2008 crossbow had a 2:1 pulleybar and so you will not get enough throw to depower it adequately on the best bar.

in other words your safety will be compromised unless you use a 2:1 bar, probably the original or i think slingshot had a 2:1 bar a while back.

if the cab bar doesn't show up it would probably be better in the long run to get another kite rather than spend money on another bar or 2:1 pulley and leader set. the 2008 crossbow has major bar pressure and turns very s l o w l y .
