Howdy boys and girls,

I'm hoping this will be a fast and easy one. The foot pads on my board are starting to peel away from the board and I'm hoping there is a quick and easy way to "stick" them back down. I'm guessing that using my 6 year old's glue stick from school won't do the job, but I'm hoping there is something between that and using some NASA designed quantum space adhesive that is going to cost a bomb.

Any advice would be appreciated. If it is of any relevance, the board is a Naish Haze 138.

Thanks in advance.

See the post about delamination on the general kitesurfing forum page.

Someone had the bottom almost peal right off. Your best bet will be to get it repaired professionally as it will probably need to be vaccumed sealed for the resin to dry without bubbles.

Just the foot pads...
Pull off - mark where U want them to go back down - use a contact adhesive - aerosol can of Selley's Kwik Grip or similar. Suggest aerosol as get v.even thickeness and spread w/o too much effort. Keep layer v.thin on both surfaces. Put time into cleaning surfaces and covering board where U do not want to spray.

To top it off - finish edges with clear marine silicon adhesive filler/sealer - or w/proof silicone use around shower/loos/sinks - to stop the pads peeling away so easily.

Cheers
