Hey. I just picked up a 2008 Naish Cult 12m
It came with 23m(in the bag) and 30m lines (on the bar)
I have been kiting for a few months and can get up wind and play around in the waves. I'm just wondering if I should use the short or long lines.

I'm 88kg and using a short thruster with straps

I will also be setting it up like the 2010 rig with a single centre line safety that goes through the bar then splits into 2 about 4 meters up.

That sounds a bit long, I have a 2009 12m cult and it has 20m lines that came stock.

i had an 09 cult, 20 and 5m extensions, id use the short lines in stronger gusty winds (say 16-25knots) and go for the 30m lines when its steady or lighter winds (say 8-15 knots)
depends on your board size ive based that on my 142x38 underground board
good winds

Thanks for that. It has been gusty in the Illawarra so I will set up with the shorter lines. I have just got a 5'3" directional thruster with straps. Finding it very different to the twin. Can get going in much lighter wind too.
Cheers
