I'm a 135 pound (61kg) brand new kitesurfer. I have done some research and read some reviews, but I need some help choosing the right kite. I recently bought a 2008 Slingshot Rev 15 meter and I realized how huge it really was. Looking for a smaller kite, around a 10 meter for about $350, preferably a 2008 model. If anyone has suggestions on kite sizes and brands, please help me out. Thanks!

Where are you? At 10-15 knots a 15 metre is a pretty good size to have imo.
Also you say brand new... Have you had lessons? Your instructor would be able to help you out with appropriate gear.

I live in Traverse City, Michigan. There are some nice beaches there, and the wind averages at 10-15 knots, sometimes higher.

Hmmmm... seeing as I'm bored at work tonight, I thought I might just google traverse city kiteboarding. So much imformation on the net. Anyways I found this store for you www.broneah.com/ I have no idea if they are good at what they do, but their website looked functional. lots of pictures. Bright colours. Anyways... Maybe get in contact with them, they could probably tell you all about what equiptment you should be using. Now got to find other ways to ammuse my self for 13 more hours
