Hi,

Wind here is >25kts 60% of season, <20kts 40% of the season.
My weight... 66kg

Pretty focused on Lithium vs Catalyst (I'm in first runs trying to stay upwind)
Received a recommendation from the Catalyst website to have a two-kite query with a 6m + 10m kites instead of a three query with 7m + 9m + 12m. The two-kite query proposed by Catalyst will cover all my wind range and save some money!

Opinions?

Thanks!

Ozone suggested a two-kite query???????

That's unequivocably questionable, considering your query was about a quiver

I used to have 8m and 12m catalysts a few years back when I was 80kg and on a twin tip.

Good combo, and good over-lap. But of course, I was missing the sweet spot of the 10m! If I had owned a 10m it would likely have been my most used kite.

So that can be the problem with a two kite quiver. You if you maxmise the top end and the bottom end, you end up missing the sweet spot in the middle which a third kite would offer. Having said that, there tends to be quite a lot of over-lap with a 6, 8, 10 sort of quiver.

Then others like to simply choose kite sizes to suit wind speeds they will be out in 90% of the time. Eg an 8m and a 10m only. So they forgo the top-end and bottom-end.

you are soooooo lucky,
used my 9 about 5 times my 11 about 8 times and my 16m just about every other windy day
(actually looking at that, now I feel pretty lucky anyway!) but those knot's you have are 'the dream'
rok on

Oh yeah, Renegade 11 & 7 - IMO best allround kite ever and mega easy for newb action and has killer upwind
