Im just after abit of addvise im just looking at getting into this exciting new sport i currently surf an wakeboard an have been told this will help speed the learning prosess.I currently havnt had lesson but am in a waiting list
i weigh 65 kg an im 6 ft tall any help for a good first kite i wont grow out of to fast size ect an also board size.cheers

most new kites work ok for learning. Go to briskites for some good advice and lessons.

I have surfed for years and ride a TT at a cable park just fine but when you throw a kite into the mix its a whole new ball game. It look me quite a few sessions to get board and kite working together. Lessons and time with a trainer kite are the best thing for you before you even think of getting your kit. I spent hours on a trainer before getting lessons out on the water and this helped heaps because it gives you an understanding of how a kite really works. A power kite dosent have any predigest on who it hurts if you stuff up and board skills wont get you out of trouble when your learning.

iv just brough myself a trainer kite so as soon as it arrives ill be out there. i was talking to a local an he recomended the delta Bandit said it was a good all round kite as well as a few others but ill get my lessons first an see how i go.
