Hi ,
I am only very new to kite surfing. I have had approximately 6 hours on a training kite. I am looking to buy some equipment, would like to know what would be a good start in board and kite i am 6'2 and approximately 92 kg (on a good day ). I am going to have some lessons. should I get my equipment before or after I have lessons ?? I was looking at approx 12-14 meter kite and 140-141 in a board would that be ok

Go see Goshen at Kitepower Geelong, he has quite a bit of used and ex demo gear, and he has access to a huge range from Kitepower Sydney, and we would easily have some new or near new gear to suit your needs.
You can get gear first, but just don't be tempted to think you can use it without lessons. If you have not flown kites before, get a trainer kite and get flying. Using a trainer kite rapidly speeds up the learning curve and helps you get maximum value from your lessons.
Consider a board a little bigger too, something around 1.45+

I am currently using a trainer kite and trying to get the hours up and yes I will get some lessons first through kitepower in Geelong. I was watching some kite surfing on you tube and I would rather learn the right way rather that hard and painful way lol.
Thanks for your help :)
