Hi!
I'm wondering if I could get some more info on kiting in merimbula - I'm looking at going there for a week (from Melb) and I'm trying to collect some more info about what kinda kite size I should get? Also good campsites, and which beach to kite on..
I've done a bunch of lessons down st kilda, using on 3 different occasions, using 13, 10, and a 7.
I'm about 65kg, F.
Looking to get myself a kit or two, I was thinking a 7 and a 9 may do me? I'll also be going to perth later a few weeks later where I know the winds tend to be higher.
Any info, recommendations, anecdotes would be useful!!
Thanks in advance!

Get onto Facebook "South Coast Kiters" for local knowledge. From my experience there is camping at Pambula and the Pambula river mouth is good kiting. You'll also get flat water on the northern end of the beach at Merimbula.
Bring all your kites if you have them. This is summer time and wind can be anywhere between 15 - 30 knots. If you are considering purchasing your first kite/s At 65kg (same as me) then a 10m and an 8m would be suitable.

They've probably been really busy as there's a big kiteboarding event there
