Hey! I'm new to kiteboarding and have just bought my first kite!! Wohoo (a 9m second hand kite). Need to get a board and have read a million reviews and not sure what length would suit me and Sydney conditions. I've had a three days of group lessons, I can get up and ride each direction though getting more lessons in Sydney..

I'm 170cm, 62kg, female, intermediate snowboarder. I've been looking at the Slingshot Misfit 136cm, and Slingshot Crisis in the 134cm or 137cm.

What would you recommend out of the Misfit or Crisis? And what size would you recommend? Would 137cm work?

From what I've read the Misfit isn't that great in chop and has less flex, the Crisis has more flex and forgiving. Keen to get something I can use for a few seasons / won't outgrow. :)

Thanks in advance!!!

Perfect little board which will allow you to progress alongside it, great in chop, carves superbly, let's you play in your 1 st wave outings, great upwind ability, early on the plane, but holds a great edge when powered up zero spray in your face I was gonna grab it but noticed the size later, just a great allround board for your weight
It's on the buy and sell seabreeze section, Tapp in shinn

Have to agree with Cauncy.
But when it comes down to it most people lose their first board so price should be a big consideration , also, you're smaller than me and I ride a 132 so I wouldn't go much bigger than that. My wife is your size, she rides a 135, it's a great size to learn on and still great years later .
Good luck.

I'm about the same height and weight as you and ride a 135x40 twin tip. I'd say the 134x40.5 would give you the most longevity, easy enough to progress on considering the relatively low rocker but small enough to handle as you become a better kite surfer.
