Hey. I mainly kite in the Bay, but occasionally do Burrum in a SE, bottom half of the tide. There are some fantastic banks that expose to flat in a good SE. Moving into winter and we get the odd decent southerly, not too bad at Burrum when out from the shore a bit, but if it turns a bit Westerly you'd be struggling if inexperienced, better off taking the drive to Gataker's Bay or even up to Elliot Heads.
