Hi Guys 'n' Gals,
I'm a noob moving to Melbourne in January from not so sunny England. I'm going to get a couple of 2013 Naish Parks but can decided if I should get 11m + 8m or 12m + 9m. I'm a beginner with a few lessons under my belt. I'm 80kg and 6ft2 tall.

Any help would be much appreciated as I don't really know what Melbourne wind is like.
Cheers

80 Kg ..hmmmm

9 meter and 11 meter should suffices. 12 meter just might be too big but up to you. 2 sizes up or down is the usual go

I am 80kg too but shorter. I don't think height matters in kiting. Anyway, I would go for a 10 and a 12mtr C or HHybrid kite for good all round kiting exposure. 10mtr is great in anything above 15knots and the 12 is great in 12 to 18knots. But if you're up here in the tropics, I would go another 2 notches and get a 12 and a 14 or 16mtr kite as winds here are very light compared to Melbourne.

You need some feedback from someone who lives/kites in Melbourne...

Go the 9 & 12, I am 70kg and run an 8, 10, 12 but could probably have gotten away with a 9, 12. You will definitely use the 12 on light wind days in Melbourne.
