Probably silly question but when changing kite from freeride to newschool settings do I leave the knotted tail on the free ride setting and detatch the long tail and connect it straight to the kite? In one of the promo vids for the new vegas it looks like its set up this way? I cant finf any info anywhere....

If I change th kite to new school setting and shorten the steering lines on the bar via the adjustment knots (I think this is what they mean by "all 4 one")? will this speed the turning up a little i know it supposed to be for a less responsive steering ability but if i change the knotts can i get a "in the middle" setting??

Also Im used to having a hard solid leading edge...the book says 6psi with the strutts at 10psi...strutts feel right but LE feels bit soft at 6psi? Is there a reason for this or can I push the pressure up a bit so it holds its shape a little better. Its my first C Kite always had Bow's is it a C Kite thing this soft LE??

It's not rocket science.

Pump the kite up hard. The gauges are never accurate anyway.

You won't even notice the change in the knot settings if it's your first c kite.

Just attach the lines and get out there.

for those who are curious
a) th kite holds its shape as its a c kite I have noticed no difference in performance having at factory settings and 'hard' as suggested.
b) the short part of the tails on closer inspection actually have a tag on them to not remove so the long part of that tail does indeed connect directly to the kite.
c) yes its my first c kite and yes anyone wld notic the difference in kite performance when these are changed from free ride to new school...omg the extra power is awesome for unhooking!!
d) yes the kite does seem to turn a little quicker when i shortened the lines/made bar longer but kite flies little weird so swapped it back turning is a lot slower in new school mode.

Hopefully dis is a little more helpfull than "just pump ur kite hard and go out there" to others :)
