hey all recently popped my LE have removed the bladder from the kite to find a hole about the size of a 50 cent coin so i have patched it using the bladder tape(came with the kite) is this likely to hold considering the size of the hole??

Yes the tear aid will look after all sized holes, but with large sections missing it is essential that you stick something over the exposed adhesive area that doesn't contact the LE as it will stick to the other opposite wall of the leading edge when you deflate it and that would be BAD!
Just cut a 50 cent piece of tear aid, stick it in the middle of the patch and then stick the larger patch over the hole. Good as new. Watch out for wrinkles or creases as they will act as capillaries and will slowly allow air to seep out.
