Went out at point Moore this arvo in a nice steady breeze and made it in and out several times back to the same spot. How good does that feel! Also self launched and landed off a fence strainer post, which improves my confidence in being independent.
Forgot to take my sunnies off before heading out though, and lost them. Duuuuhhh.
Sounds good suniboy! However next challenge is gybing the contraption, am over dropping my arse in the water, fiddling the board around and restarting. Next time!
Point moore is the west Probocis of Geraldton, west oz mate!
Thanks for the cheap sunnies tip, but I reckon taking them off before getting slammed is likely to be better for me!
Today was a 10-15 knot day and a bloke with a giant mega kite was going ok, but a small girl with a 10m (same as me) struggled so I didn't go out and went home to be nice to the family :)

Thanks guys, I have that excitement back from when I first got into windsurfing over 30 years ago... Am continually looking for a chance to get out, carry my gear wherever I go.. Thinking about how I can change the job for a better lifestyle.... Mmmm feels like a flashback !
Now am looking forward to the first gybe. Am hoping 50 million of them on a wavesail board might help. But then i don't think 50 million hours with a sail helped learning the kite, so I should expect the worst.
Congrats mate! I had the same thing a few months back. It feels absolutely great when you notice you're going upwind and have no real struggle! Also getting your first transition is a similar feeling. Toeside gybes are also great fun and not even that hard, in fact sometimes I find them easier than normal transitions, it was actually my first transition. Now working on a proper jump! Have fun mate!
