Hey guys,
This is my first post so I do apologise if it's in the wrong place. Sorry.

Now to the question I have. It seems that I have misplaced my pump and I have a spare but it doesn't have a nozzle. Not really too keen on forking out $70 for a pump so I'm curious do those BCF pump really work? Do they fit the kite valve?

Something like this pump here: http://www.bcf.com.au/online-store/products/Wanderer-Large-Dual-Action-Hand-Pump.aspx?pid=326862

Thank you guys and girls. I appreciate the help :)

That pump will work fine. Big W rays out doors and other shops sell them they all work good but dont last as long. Fittings are almost the same depends on the inflate system on ya kite.

Don't get the wanderer - they can't pump past 6 kpi
the higher priced model (coleman?) at BCF works fine though,...

edit

make sure you get the largest size

Bcf one is good. It's serviceable.
As for the nozzle I'm sure your local will have one lying around for a cheap price

Firstly Xero, welcome here.. Secondly, never apologise to this lot.. They're just a rabble.. an unapologetic, crass rabble..

Regarding your situation, your profile doesn't say what state you are in, so I'm not sure what kite shops you'll be close to etc. Again, you don't mention your kite, so I don't know what inflate valve it has.

Not knowing where you are, you could order this one online - if it has the newer higher flow 'Boston' type valve: www.kitepower.com.au/collections/kitesurfing/products/ozone-boston-valve-adapter?variant=22614937540

It'll be a lot cheaper than buying a new pump. I'm sure if it's the narrower type of adaptor, the same supplier will be able to help you out online also..

Either that or (as was suggested above) just drop into your local kite shop and see if they'll help out with a nozzle

Cheap pumps have cheaper components and a plastic shaft instead of aluminum. They break easily. It will work just the same as any other pump, you may have to use more effort though. In my experience, $20 pumps don't even last 1 season if you kite regularly. You can get 2-3 seasons out of a quality pump, maybe more, depends how often you kite of course...

Thanks for the warm welcome. I will keep that in mind

I've updated my profile a bit, but I'm in SE queensland and I'm using a bit of an older 15m fuel slingshot kite so I'm not quite sure what sort of valve it has myself so if anyone knows I'd be grateful.

Also do kite shops sell the nozzle separately? or do I need to buy a new pump entirely?

Can't find a coleman hand pump on their website only electrical ones. How about this pump instead?

Yes, the fuel pump from bcf is the shizz. Don't get the wanderer one, I had 3 of these in a row which leaked back through the non-return valve straight out of the box.

Guys I've just realised, when I said nozzle I mean the entire tube not just the end bit. I have the pump but not the tube that connects to the pump

Disclaimer
The shizz (def): it's a cheap pump which will get you out of trouble and maybe last a season. It doesn't come with max flow nozzle. The hose attaches to the top of the pump body rather than the handle, which leads to hose crimps. Ad I had to zip tie the hose to the barbs to stop it popping off.
But you can buy 2 to 3 of them for the price of a decent pump.
