Has anyone found an adhesive which rebonds to the filler vents to a bladder. The bladder is clean and good but all vents have delaminated.

by filler vent do you mean the valve? If so then aqua seal is the go. You can get it at most dive shops.

Here's a handy 'how to' link.

I've been trialing a few adhesives to see best method for reattaching nipples,, seem to be holding ok so far, I'd recommend that you practice on a spare bladder first. The vid link looks ok but when you use a glue you need to make sure you dont have any creases,,,, it is a bit tricky, plus the bladder tends to wrinkle when you put the glue on.. remember

Practice, practice, practice....

Good luck, and let us know how you went..

Happy Happy. Doing one valve at a time (saves space). Aquaseal cost $15 which is half the price of a new valve. It says it can be kept indefinitely in a freezer and would do a heap of valves. The first valve (done last night) feels really good. Firmly attached but very flexible. Feeling very confident that this $15 product will bring the bladder back to as new condition. Five new valves would have set us back about $140. Very grateful to you guys.

Happy Happy ! The Aquaseal cost $15 and would fix many valves. We are doing one at a time (saves space). The one repaired last night feels great. Very firm and flexible. Aquaseal is said to keep well in a freezer so the cost is minimal when compared with five new valves. Special thanks for the advice.

Still delighted with the Aquaseal repair to 5 valves on the leading edge bladder of this Liiquid Force, Havoc, Bladder but two more adhesives have been found with very similar properties to Aqua Seal.

There is a product called Shoegoo which I found at a sports clothing store. At a very similar price it should do the same job. It comes from the same American manufacturer who produces "Goop" which as far as I know is not available in Australia.

I have not tried either of these on a bladder yet but I will in the near future. All of these products will remain usable for much longer after opening if the tube is stored in a fridge or freezer. This is true of many adhesives (including Superglue often known as Cyano Acrylate) but special care needs to be taken when storing possibly toxic materials with foodstuffs. Be warned.

Dude - take a break from the glueing, and do the rest of your valves outside in a well ventilated area....
