Anybody able to give me some pointers? I am wanting to ride my surfboard strapless but I don't quite know what to dew it.

I mean how to stay on the board heh. I havent ever ridden on a surfboard yet sunday will be my first day.

same as doonut said, wax it up and off you go, theres no really trick to staying on the surfboard strapless, maybe dont try and edge upwind as much like you do on a twin tip, dont have too much power in your kite

Hey Slicer Dicer,

Keep your knees bent more than normal, straight leg doesn't work on a strapless surfy. Keep your centre of gravity lower and wax on the board and it's really not that hard.

dont wear a leggie, 2 days ago i tryed using a surfboard for the first time, i stacked pretty bad and the board wiplashed into the back of my head, now i have 2 stitches..

Oiiii man that's rookie, but suppose it could have been worse, many people have ripped legs and torso's open using board leash's.

Getting going would be different though, I think that's maybe what Slicer is talking about, with straps- waterstarts=easy. Without straps, getting onto the board would require a different technique I'd imagine.

getting on the board without straps is easy, just stick your feet on the board and the pull of the kite holds it against your feet as it pulls you forward in the water. If the board is to floaty you need to have your feet more towards the rail, it doesn't take to long to get used to it.
