Hey guys,
just moved to Perth from Melbourne and finding the WA swell pretty brutal. I feel like Im learning all over again. Used to be able to jump high, land soft, back roll, front roll and now Im lucky to stay on the board (the 8 month break probably didnt help).

Yesterday after watching a sh!tload of instructional vids I decided I was going to work on my backroll transitions, mega fail. I cant seem to time anything between the constant barrage of waves. Any attempt at a trick lands me downwind of my board body dragging through the blue bottles, which saps my ambition.

Thing is I live 2 mins from the beach in Scarb so I guess my question is whats the nearest flatwater, or any tips for dealing with this chop.
