I am kiting about early intermediate level. Currently only in flat water, but wanting to get out in the waves eventually.
Most of the young fit guys seem to use only waist harnesses...I was advised to get a seat harness, which I like, but wondering if my next one should be a waist harness....
I have used waist harnesses as a windsurfer for decades, so don't imagine I will find too much of a difference..
Any thoughts...

My waist harness is doing my back in because it keeps riding up but when i used a seat harness it would crush my balls when launching... so i thought i would take the lesser of two evils. Apparently the riding up is cuased by not having the waist strap tightened fully.

Why not get kite shorts bro?

Demo one or borrow a mate's harness. If you're intermediate you'll know within a couple of minutes whether it's feeling good and worth the switch. At intermediate I'd say the harness choice is largely about comfort.
